Brent Hawkins

Head Coach / Defensive Coordinator / Linebackers

Bio: Years at RHS: 14. Coaching Experience: Football and Wrestling at Taylorsville High School, Basketball and Football at West Jordan High School, and Football  and Track & Field at Riverton High School. Has coached the Running Backs, Defensive Linebackers, & Defensive Backs in his time at the above high schools. Has two years head football coaching experience at West Jordan High School and four years head track and field coaching experience at Riverton High School. Vocation: 19 Years of teaching experience in Mathematics, Weight Training, and Physical Education. Hobbies/Interests: Coaching and spending time with his family, movies, motivational tapes, and 4-wheeling trips.

Coaches the running backs. Vocation: 3 years of teaching in the business department at Riverton; 12 years combined experience as sales manager and VP for Nutraceutical and Amalphi Arts. Alysa (18) attending college in Nebrasaka, Sarah (15) attending RHS, 

and Colin (14) attending South Hills Middle School.

Daniel Melville

Sophomore Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator 

Bio: Years at RHS: 8 Vocation: Teacher/Coach Education: B.S. in Chemistry Education and Coaching at BYU, Graduated in 2006 Coaching Experience: Coaching Football in my fourth year at RHS, have also coached Basketball and Volleyball at the High School level While still in College. Playing Experience:High School Football at Orem High and Walk on Opportunity at BYU in 2004. Hobbies/Interests: I play or at least try to play any and all sports, Golf has become what I have moved to playing most. I also enjoy video games, movies, and music. I have been singing in groups and choirs since I was three, and enjoy collecting Sports cards and other memorabilia. Family: Married 9 years to the most beautiful woman in the world; Sarah. We have Three Sons; Jackson, 6, Kingston,3, and Lincoln, 4 months Old.

Bio: Years at RHS- 6 years. Vocation- 25+ years as a retail and service industry manager, Business and Marketing teacher the past three years at RHS. Education- Four years at Utah State University, BS in Business Administration from University of Phoenix, Master of Arts, Secondary Education, also from University of Phoenix. Coaching experience- Volunteer wrestling coach at West Jordan four years, Running backs and linebackers at West Jordan three years, Various positions in WJ Booster Club, including President eleven years, coached two sons in baseball, basketball, and football from age six until they entered high school sports as freshmen. Playing experience- Played high school ball at Monticello High, Wrestled for four State Championship teams, winning one individual state championship,set state and national fastest pin time record, Wrestled for Utah State four years. Hobbies and Interests- Golf and anything my wife tells me I like to do. Family- Jamie my wife of 32 years, Jillian (31) our daughter, Jordan (27) our WJ quarterback son, Jace (22) our other WJ quarterback son, Jadan (13) our 2nd daughter.
